On the corner of Meridian and E. 7th Street they tore down Paradise and put up a burger joint. The much anticipated Midtown Caboose is the latest venture of seasoned Tallahassee burger czars Matthew and Adam Wells. Joe and I pulled into the parking lot on a bright sunny afternoon excited to see if the spot lived up to the hype.
We entered and were immediately greeted by a smiling hostess. She sat us in a table on the left side of the restaurant and told us our server would appear momentarily. Our waiter arrived as she departed, took our drink orders, and left us with a pair of menus. I had forgotten to eat breakfast, and made an executive decision to order an appetizer. Crab Rangoon, pizza chips, and pulled pork wantons all caught my eye. Being a sucker for anything with the words “buffalo chicken” in the title, I ordered Uncle Trav’s Buffalo Chicken Dip. The waiter darted off to kitchen, and told us he would return in a few minutes to take the rest of our orders. For more on the Midtown Caboose read the full review on Tallahassee.com.
