Sometimes you just need a guy’s day out full of manly activities. After braving Tallahassee traffic, hunting down cold cuts, and foraging for produce at Publix, Mason and I were ready for a late lunch. As we passed Cinco de Mayo Mexican Restaurant on Mahan Drive little man piped up from the back seat that he wanted a taco. We decided to give the east side’s newest Mexican restaurant a try and pulled into the parking lot.
Cinco de Mayo sits in a small plaza across from Wal-Mart that formerly housed an automobile museum and a pub. An elongated oval sign marked the restaurant’s location. Two Modelo Especial chalkboards flanked the dark tinted front door. A neon sign advertised Corona was now on draft. For more on Cinco de Mayo read the full review on Tallahassee.com.
