Maryland Fried Chicken

Following a birthday party at Skate Towne we decided to eat lunch in Cairo, Georgia.  Becky and the kids were in the mood for fried chicken, and we headed towards Maryland Fried Chicken.  The restaurant is located at 149 U.S. Hwy 84 East in a brick building with a large parking lot.  A small Maryland Fried Chicken sign stood about the door displayed a cartoon hen and her chick.  Flowers lined the neatly landscaped walkway.

Opening the front door we were greeted by a neatly kept dining room.  The walls were lined with ads for local businesses.  Wooden tables surrounded by chairs lined the walls. The counter to place orders was located at the rear next to drink machines circulating sweet tea and lemonade. For more on Maryland Fried Chicken read the full review on Tallahassee.com.

  1. There is also a MFC in Quincy, located on US 90, in an ex-Chandler’s location. While getting a C or D in ambience, their fried shrimp are the best kept secret in the town. Priced very reasonable and prepared perfectly-very light dusting and gently fried-they are delicious. A+.
