Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint

A trip to the zoo meant grocery shopping got pushed back to Sunday. Before braving the supermarket’s aisles with two restless preschoolers I decided to fill their bellies with their favorite food, pizza! I ran the plan by the two little people sitting behind me strapped in their car seats, and they heartily approved. Weaving through traffic we arrived at the newest pizza place on the east side of town, Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint.

Uncle Maddio’s is located at 3122 Mahan Drive in the collection of shops that sit in front of the newly constructed Publix. With a squirming child in each hand we made our way towards the stucco and stone faced building. A gentleman held open the door and Miss Julia burst into the restaurant. Mason and I chased after her as she ran to a table and started introducing herself to several diners. For more on Uncle Maddio’s check out the full review on Tallahassee.com!

    • The individual pizza is a pretty good value and I give the crisp crust a thumbs up. That said, I am not sure I could justify buying a larger specialty pie for the prices advertised on the board. Give me a coupon, and I may change my stance. :)

      • I’m just jealous that you got a crispy crust, but maybe that has to do with the personal size vs the twelve inch or the person that was stretching dough. The twelves were rubber.

      • That is depressing. Rubbery crust is miserable when it comes to pizza. I’d give the personal size a shot and see if it changes your mind. Plus, for the price you don’t have much to lose!
